Are You A Leech or a Network Marketer… by a GBG Distributor

I am not going to sit here and tickle ears with a whole bunch of junk that most people want to hear. Here’s the truth: Most people fail at network marketing. And according to statistics, more than likely, you will fail too. The odds are vastly against you. You’ll probably lose a lot of money and prove the naysayers right. According to statistics, in about 1 year you’ll look back and be forced to admit that all those people who laughed in your face and shook their heads at you were telling the truth. Well, if you joined GBG, at least you didn’t lose too much. All you did was purchase a product for your health. So, it not all bad.

Oh yeah, according to statistics, some people who read this are going to join, and after ignoring  time-tested wealth building principles, they will throw their hands up and believe that Roy Clinkscales was the worst GBG upline ever. What a shame! (By the way, statistics are relevant only to the masses. They have nothing to do with me or the Level 5 League GBG Family. I’ve put forth a lot of effort to repel whiners and complainers from this site).

Look, don’t even think about clicking my sign-up link if you are like most people. I’d rather you be someone else’s problem. And personally, I’d prefer that you not join GBG at all. If you have a failure mentality, all you’re going to do is fail and blame GBG or one of the GBG leaders.  Why on earth should you join GBG and try to mess the GBG name?

It would be much better in my opinion, for you to join another network marketing company. Fail with them and try to mess up their name. You can go to MLMWatchDog.com for some ideas. Plenty of companies to choose from.

By the way, I’m not talking about customers here. If you  want to simply try one of the products feel free to click my product link. That’s an entirely different story.

But, I’m talking about the nitpickers who choose not to develop any business sense and think network marketing is a way to get something for nothing – looking for a hand-out like they’re on welfare or something.

(By the way, welfare is a good thing if one really needs it. There are people who’ve built the foundations for multibillion dollar empires who have been on welfare at one time or another. John Johnson is just one example. And nobody better look down on me if I find myself on welfare one day. I pay taxes. My tax money is paying for my welfare ahead of time just in case I need it. And if I were to end up on welfare at the age of 18, then I can say that my parents’ tax dollars paid for my welfare ahead of time. And if I become a multi-millionaire, I am happy to pay taxes in order to thank the government for the help that they have or would have given me. Furthermore, out of love for my fellow-man, I am happy to pay taxes to the government for those who may need welfare. “For that is why you are also paying taxes; for they are God’s public servants constantly serving this very purpose. Render to all their dues, to him who calls for the tax, the tax… Do not you people be owing anybody a single thing, except to love one another. For he that loves his fellow-man has fulfilled the law.”-Romans 13:6-8. Now, enough of that, moving on….)

I’d rather partner with those who are intent on adding value to Level 5 League and the GBG Family. I don’t want to partner with leeches.

Now, a leech is not someone who needs support. If that’s the case, I and every single person on this planet is a leech.

Instead, leeches are those that suck the blood out of other people. Leeches are slimy, negative, and habitual complainers. Leeches hurt other people. They are selfish and greedy. They’re always looking for a way to take something instead of seeking ways to give. Leeches think they are perfect. And if they fail, supposedly it’s because everyone  else screwed up. Leeches are prejudice. Leeches are some of the most prejudice people on the planet.

No, I am not speaking of prejudice against race, creed, or color. I am speaking of a prejudice against people who have more than they do. Yup, leeches are extremely prone to jealousy. If they have even the slightest perception (yes, even a false perception) that the other person has some advantage over them, then they are not able to be at peace with that person. And all it takes is for that person to display one little imperfection (yes, even a seeming imperfection) and all hell breaks loose. Yes, leeches exaggerate imperfections. Leeches are quick to look down on people.

Leeches look down on rich people and they look down on people on welfare. Sounds crazy? Well, think about.

Both rich people and people on welfare are in a “better position” than leeches. In the leeches mind, they are getting a “free ride”. The leech is thinking, “I want a free ride. Why can’t I have a free ride? What makes them so worthy and not me? They’re not worthy.”

All the while, they fail to realize that once you get down to the nitty-gritty , no one is worthy of life’s mercy. Not a single soul. That’s why it’s called mercy. And if they really analyzed their own life, they’d realize that they’ve been a recipient of life’s mercy too. It’s just that they were too busy looking at the other person to see their own gifts and privileges. Yes, gifts and privileges they themselves do not even deserve.

Shouldn’t we be happy when someone experiences good that they don’t deserve! We all experience bad that we don’t deserve. And when it comes, it doesn’t ask our permission, it just comes. Why can’t it be the same with good? We ought to applaud life’s goodness when it comes.

But leeches can’t do that because they lack the vital quality of appreciation. They don’t really appreciate what they have. They take it for granted. That’s why they can’t give value. How can you give value when you don’t even realize you have it?

If they really had appreciation, they wouldn’t worry about who has more than them because instead, they would be so thankful for their own fullness, they would be thinking about how to pass it on. Leeches are poor on the inside. A leech can be making 1 million dollars a year, but poorer than someone making $1,000 a month with the right mindset.

I don’t want to work with unappreciative leeches. The name is Level 5 League – not Level 5 Leeches.

My vision is that Level 5 League overflows with success. How on earth is that supposed to happen if no one appreciates the successes of themselves and others? It definitely can’t happen if no one sees their own value.

The people I’m partnered with right now see their own value. They are givers. For instance, I remember when one of the Level 5 Leaguers first partnered with me.

Here it is, he’d just got started and he insisted on meeting up with me and buying me lunch. He would not let me refuse.

On another occasion, he shared some training with me about giving a one minute presentation. This meeting with Houston Texas GBG rep Juan Mendoza became the basis for the warm market training on the one minute presentation. GBG distributor Juan Mendoza was intent on adding value and now I have the opportunity to share this value with you.

Feel free to check out the training on the one minute presentation (coming soon), and if you like it, say thanks to Juan Mendoza by buying a product or signing up through his link. That training has definitely helped my business. And if you’d like to meet him personally, give me a call and I’ll introduce you.

If you live on the East Coast, let me tell you about Virginia GBG distributor Benne Clark. From day 1, he’s been intent on giving me value. I remember a phone conversation we had a while ago. In it, I confided in him and told him one of my business goals. I said, “I think I can do it.” But, before I could finish my words, he stopped me and said, “Roy, I know you can do it.” I said “Thanks” and then he asked, “Do you know why I said that, Roy?” I asked why. And then he said, “Because a lot of people have goals but, they don’t have the focus to see it through. If you’re focused enough and don’t quit like most people, you’ll do it. It’s simple as that.”

There were some other things that were said as well, but here’s the point: Fredricksburg, VA GBG distributor Benne Clark was intent on adding value. That conversation has stuck with me to this day. If you appreciate what he said, please feel free to join GBG through his link. He’s a real cool guy. You can also check out his website at www.MorningSolutions.com.

I could go on and on about the value of the players on this team. Visiting the other pages on this site, you may find some other examples. But, here’s the bottom line:

Level 5 Leaguers are not people who fail one time and quit. We fail several times and succeed. We know it makes no sense to be average in network marketing, because the average network marketer quits in the first year. The average network marketer loses fire for the business 72 hours after joining. Most network marketers don’t know a thing about marketing.

Level 5 Leaguers know that the winners in this industry educate themselves and put it into action while most everybody else doesn’t. Level 5 Leaguers are happy about the success of their teammates. Why? Because they are secure about their own successes. They know that the joy of success does not come from comparing oneself to another. Rather, Level 5 Leaguers know that the joy of success comes from comparing oneself to one’s own self.

Level 5 Leaguers understand The Brutal Facts about network marketing.
And they don’t blame me, Level 5 League, or the GBG Family for The Brutal Facts. Instead, they accept them. And with determination and focus they work to give value and put the odds in their favor through personal and skill development. Level 5 Leaguers intend to prevail in spite of the brutal facts.
